Host your small event at Chestnut Hill Guest House!

Choose from a variety of settings for your outdoor events, such as the "Stone Garden", the "Willow alter by the Pond" or simply a backyard BBQ. Coming soon - covered pergola with grill area in the stone garden,

We have limited capacity for events and on occasion will host weddings, but we are not a full service wedding vendor. All events must be self-organized, meaning we do not supply tents, tables, chairs, meals, decor, portable toilets, etc. Set-up and break-down is the sole responsibility of the guest, we only provide the location and guidance/light assistance. Use of the barn for events is limited, as we use our barn for our farm operations; partial use of the barn may be arranged. 

We require guests of an event to purchase:

  • One-Day Beer and Wine Permit ($36 | https://sla.ny.gov/permits-available-online)

  • Event Insurance (~$50-80, available from many insurance providers)

  • Permits and insurance may be provided by catering companies. We suggest Olivers

  • Portable toilets

  • Tents if desired. We suggest McCarthy Tents and Events

  • We strongly suggest a catering service

  • Shuttle service for overflow of +30 cars. 1.7 miles near is a park and ride which may help lower shuttle fees. Ride Sharing (Uber/Lyft) is also available in the area.

Location Fee for 50-person event ($40/person after 50 people), includes 2 nights in 4-bedroom Guest House for the night before and night of the event: $3600. Weddings must end at 10pm.

If available, we also offer a 2-bedroom cottage for $250/night and encourage new couples to spend their first night together in this private, romantic getaway

Large, tented events must take place between June-October to mitigate mud damage
